HOLY WEEK & EASTER

APRIL 1 - APRIL 8, 2012

Sunday, April 1, 10:30 am — Palm Sunday, Children process
with Palms, Liturgical Dancers

4:30—7:30 pm—Passion of the Christ Movie. Bring snacks and
drinks to share, and bring lawn chairs to view movie
in Fellowship Hall. Movie will begin at 5:00 pm with
short intermission and will end approx. 7:30 pm. 

Monday, April 2 through Friday, April 6—Stations of the Cross/Prayer
Centers, self-guided tour for meditation on Jesus’ journey
to the cross, open to all ages, (special tours are available
by reservation with the church office).

           Monday & Tuesday—11:30 am to 7:30 pm

           Wednesday, Thursday, Friday—11:30 am to 6:00 pm

Wednesday, April 4—Holy Wednesday: 5:30 pm Dinner,
6:30 pm A.W.E. Struck Service, Holy Communion.

Thursday, April 5—Maundy (Holy) Thursday: 7:00 pm, Last Supper
remembrance drama, Holy Communion.

Friday, April 6—Good Friday: 7:00 pm, “Down the Via Dolorosa”,
The Seven Last Words of Jesus, Special Music by the Choir
and soloists, nailing of cards (burdens) at the foot of the cross.

EASTER SUNDAY MORNING — April 8

6:45 am—Sunrise Service at Veterans’ Lake with
First Christian Church. FCC Pastor Tim will give the message,
and Sulphur UMC Pastor PJ will sing a solo. Holy Communion.

8:30 am—Contemporary Service with A.W.E. Struck,
Special Music, Holy Communion,
message: “We Proclaim That You Are God!”

9:30 am—Full Breakfast open to all!!!

10:30 am—Traditional Easter Service, Special Music by
the Choir and children, Holy Communion,
message: “The Grave Could Not Hold the King!”
